WYCD Broadcasting Live! - 3pm - 7pm


99.5 WYCD's Edwards & Lee will be broadcasting live from the Brighton Summerfest 2007! Come register to win great prizes, check out the Urban Lounge, and have your picture taken by our "Photo Friends" in the Urban Lounge!

Saturday Events


Soakfest at the Gazebo - 4:00pm - 5:30pm


Kids ages 4-12 and parents join the 2|42 Community Church Kids Ministries for Soakfest! This is an awesome activity designed to bring kids and their families together.

At 4pm the fest will begin with several fun games and activities for parents and kids. The activity continues with all of the kids gathering together for a welcome and some singing and dancing. Then the real fun begins! Teams are formed for water games that include hundreds of water balloons! So come get wet and cool off with the 2|42 Community Church Kids Ministries!

"Calling all Artists and Aspiring Artists" - 11 am - 4pm

Show your creativity by adding a piece of your art to the Brighton Summerfest for all of downtown to admire!

On Saturday artists and aspiring artist are invited to create art in the street. This will be a great opportunity for everyone to watch an artist at work and for artists to show off their skills.

To register bring a picture or description of your creative design to the information booth on main street.  At registration you will be given a space and chalk. Creations will be created from 11am-4pm (pre-registration requested but not required – limited spaces available) Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place per age group – age groups 15-18 and 19 & up.

Tridge Trot - 1pm

Join the optimist club for the for the Tridge Trot, Kids ages 5-9 years old will run a 731ft. race around the millpond & across the tridge.

Michigan CHIP "Michigan Child Identification Program"

The national center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) recognizes Comprehensive Masonic Chip as one of the most complete child recovery and Identify caution programs in the nation. At the Masonic Chip Event, Masons generate individual completed child identify caution kids that are given to the parents to take home for safe keeping. Each child progresses through the several stations of the event (it takes about 10 to 15 minutes) generating and identifying item at each station and placing them in his or her kit. This completed kid can be immediately provided to authorities to aid in the recovery in of a missing child.

Sunday Kids & Family Church Service in the Gazebo presented by the 2/42 Community Church.

Kid's Olympics - Reg 2:30pm - Games 3pm

Join us for an afternoon of Olympic Style games and activities for kids of all ages, Some games include GAME #1, GAME #2, GAME #3, and GAME #4. Prizes will be awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Registration will start at 2:30pm and the games will start at 3pm.

Calling all Gamers! It's the Madden '07 and Halo Tournament!

Join us on Friday from 12noon - 1:45pm for open gaming then show what your made of from 2pm-5pm for the Madden 07 tournament (registration begins 1pm). It doesn’t stop there- come back for open gaming from 5pm-6:45pm then show off again at 7pm for the Halo Tournament (reg. begins 6pm)

Oh wait- there’s more! Saturday 10 am- 1:45pm there will be open gaming again, then another 2pm-5pm Madden 07 tournament (registration begins 1pm). Open gaming 5pm-6:45pm and another Halo Tournament from 7pm-10pm (registration begins 6pm). But don’t worry there’s still more open gaming on Sunday 12pm-5pm. Sponsored by: 2/42 Community Church
